Sally has ten years of teaching experience in South Africa and the UK across all ages and abilities. Over the past six years, she has specialised in high school flute teaching, guiding her students through everything from casual lunchtime concerts to ABRSM and Trinity exams, school-leaving exams, eisteddfods, competitions and even auditions for the top UK conservatoires. Her students have flourished under her tuition, with a teaching style firmly routed in a strong foundation of beautiful tone and technical strength, coupled with a warm personality and a good dose of humour.

Sally is available to teach online lessons, individual lessons in person, as well as masterclasses and workshops on practice methods and effective audition and exam preparation.

Online Lessons:
Online lessons are available if you have a stable internet connection, access to a built-in camera/webcam and a built-in microphone. Lessons are either 45 or 60 minutes long, and will be catered towards your specific needs and goals. Payment for lessons can be done using PayPal, even if you don't have a PayPal account. Please note, due to the nature of online teaching, online lessons are only available to people who have been playing for 2-3 years.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full.
Lessons:
Sally is currently based in Manchester (United Kingdom) and is available to teach individual lessons to flautists of all ages and abilities. She is able to teach the basics of music theory to both beginners and musicians aiming to progress through the ABRSM syllabi, and to accompany students on the piano up to grade 5/6 level. Masterclasses and Workshops:
Sally has used her experience as a professional musician in orchestral and chamber music, in conjunction with her experience on the competition circuit, to coach students in masterclasses and workshops on preparation for exams, auditions and competitions. These focus on how to practise most effectively for a positive and beneficial musical experience, as well as on how best to present your repertoire.
